The Den is a little cottage here at Fletland Hamlet, right next to the River Glen. It's all on the ground floor. You get your own patio out the back that looks over the river. There are fields opposite with horses and llamas, which is a bit different.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. The rating is 5 Star, which mostly means it's been finished to a high standard. It's comfortable.
The garden is enclosed and there's a bigger, separate field just for dogs to run in. The grounds are about three acres, mostly lawn. There's also a riverside walk on the other side of the water, just for people staying here. You can use the tennis court if you ask first.
The village of Baston is a short drive away. It's got a shop and a pub that does food. For a bigger supermarket, Market Deeping is about ten minutes by car.
Stamford is nine miles. It's a nice old town, stone buildings, good for a wander. That's where the Burghley Horse Trials are. Peterborough is eleven miles the other way, if you need the city or the train station.
You're in the Fens here. It's flat, so it's good for cycling. There's fishing on the river. It's a quiet area. You'll see a lot of sky.
Facilities are what you'd expect: WiFi, TV, parking right outside. There's an electric vehicle charger. Everything is included, like bedding and towels. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
