The Holt
The Holt is in Baston, Lincolnshire. It's part of a small group of cottages called Fletland, right by the River Glen.
It sleeps six, in three bedrooms. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, which is handy. The rating is 5 Star, so it's well-equipped. Everything's on one level, which is good for accessibility, and there's an electric vehicle charger.
You get your own garden and a big patio right next to the river. The view is over the water and the fields. There are usually horses and llamas in the next field. It's very quiet.
There's a shop and a pub in Baston village, a short walk away. The pub does food. For a bigger shop, Market Deeping is about ten minutes by car.
The cottage is on three acres of land, mostly lawn. There's also an extra eight acres across the river with a private walk. If you have dogs, there's a large, enclosed area just for them to run around. There's a tennis court you can use if you ask in advance.
Stamford is a 20-minute drive. It's a nice old town and where the Burghley Horse Trials are held. Peterborough is about the same distance the other way. For local walks or bike rides, you can start right from the door.
