The Roost

The Roost is in Baston, Lincolnshire. It's one of a few holiday cottages next to the River Glen. You look out over the river and there are often horses or llamas in the fields opposite. Your bit has a lawn and a decent sized patio right by the water.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating. That means it's well-equipped and comfortable, not particularly old-fashioned. The main living area is open plan.

The place is all on one level, so no stairs. There's a step at the front door but it's wheelchair accessible from there. There's an electric vehicle charger on site.

You can bring two dogs. There's a big, enclosed field just for dogs to run in, separate from the main gardens. There's also a tennis court you can book to use.

Baston village has a shop and a pub that does food. Market Deeping is about ten minutes away for more shops. Stamford is lovely, about twenty minutes' drive. That's where the Burghley Horse Trials are. Peterborough is roughly the same distance the other way.

You're right by the river for walks. It's very flat here, so it's good for cycling. If you want a day out, the coast around Norfolk is just over an hour away. Lincoln is about forty minutes.

For facilities: all bedding and towels are included. There's a cot, highchair, and stairgate if needed. WiFi, TV, washing machine. Parking on site.
