Swallows Nest

Swallows Nest is tucked away in a quiet corner of the the owners’ grounds, positioned almost on the border between Wales and Shropshire. It enjoys views across the open countryside and is the ideal place in which to relax and unwind. Because of its amazing position all areas of North Wales, Cheshire and Shropshire are easy to reach. Locally the lime kilns and Llanymynech Rock, Powys Castle and the Welshpool-Llanfair steam railway, plus all seven wonders of Wales including the most local - Llanrhaeadr Waterfalls, all worthy of a visit and an easy drive away. The beautiful historic town of Shrewsbury is approximately 20 minutes’ drive and has fine examples of timber framed buildings with over 600 listed properties. The town boasts many fabulous bars and restaurants, and has a theatre and river boat trips. Three other National Trust properties are within 30 minutes’ drive including Chirk Castle, Erddig and Attingham Park. Shop 1½ miles, pub and restaurant ½ mile.
