Winchester Lodge at Daisy Bank is a friendly, family-owned caravan park, set in 7 acres of beautiful countryside between Bishops Castle in Shropshire and Welshpool in Powys, Wales. It’s perfect for guests who want to enjoy a comfortable private base to explore the local area, visit family, or enjoy the great outdoors. The self-contained Lodge is perfectly situated offering a quiet and comfortable stay. Internally, the lodge has two bedrooms, The first of the two bedrooms has a double bed including a flat screen TV and en suite with toilet. The second bedroom has a single bed along with plenty of storage space for your stay. The main bathroom with shower is a generous size with modern fixtures. The open plan modern kitchen/dining area has everything you need to make your stay comfortable. Around the corner is the living area, spacious and airy with patio doors that open out onto the decking area. On the decking you will find lovely outdoor furniture, to relax and take in the area. Externally, there is vast amounts of rural space, with views of the Shropshire countryside. Being an adult only Caravan Park there are other guests staying here, giving you the choice to make friends or be perfectly independent. It’s your holiday, you decide. There is private parking available on site.
For most things you’ll need to go no further than Churchstoke Shopping Centre, just 2 miles along the road from Daisy Bank. Here you will find a good-sized CO-OP, butchers, Post Office, and Petrol Station. There is also a plant centre, M and Co, hairdresser, pound store and a café. Bishops Castle has some small but very good independent retailers. Bishops Castle is also home to two micro-Brewery’s in The Threes Tuns and The Six Bells. Fishing is available along the River Severn and its tributaries between Newtown and Welshpool. The Montgomery Canal is also popular and requires a club fishing permit. Clun is a pretty river crossing with remains of a Norman castle. Visit Craven Arms for Stokesay Castle, a fine medieval fortified house. Church Stretton, like Clun and Bishops Castle, is a centre for walking routes. Further afield, Ironbridge, tells of the industrial revolution through its magnificent River Severn bridge and museums. Ludlow’s annual food festival adds to its reputation for dining and shopping. It has an impressive castle and riverside. With many attractions on offer in the area, Winchester Lodge at Daisy Bank is a perfect choice for your next getaway.
