Upon entering you find yourself in the living room complete with an open fire and comfortable sofas, it is the perfect place to relax after a long day walking and exploring the local area. The open-plan kitchen provides a fridge, induction hob, washing machine, dishwasher and microwave in addition to all the utensils you need for a self-catering stay, and a dining table providing seating for four. Through to the first of the bedrooms on the ground floor with a king sized bed and you will also find the family bathroom, which features a walk-in shower, heated towel rail and toilet. To the first floor you will find a lovely spacious king sized bedroom with lovely views of the rolling hillside. Outside you will find a courtyard with seating area for those sunny days and balmy evenings.
Nearby facilities can be found in the village of Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant, home to a well-stocked shop, two pubs, a charming café and a fish and chip shop. Be sure to visit Pistyll Rhaeadr waterfall, a prominent attraction reaching up to 240ft, listed as Britain’s tallest, single-drop waterfall. For those who enjoy a ramble, you can take on a challenging hike up Berwyn Mountains. Spend a day travelling over to one of the nearby hotspots such as the National Trust’s Powis Castle and Garden, the Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway, Oswestry Hill Fort, Lakes Vyrnwy and Bala, the town of Llangollen and the expansive Offa’s Dyke Path further afield.
