School House sleeps five guests, though there is ample room for entertaining guests both inside and outside. Ideally located just over 7 miles from Welshpool, School House is a charming and comfortable, three-bedroom cottage that is ideal for family, friends or other groups looking to spend an unforgettable time in a stunning rural location.
The living/dining room with wood burner creates a cosy atmosphere in winter, and a relaxing space after a busy day exploring the local area. A well-equipped kitchen is perfect for cooking up a holiday feast with doors leading to the garden, making it easy to dine al fresco on warmer summer evenings. The property includes three bedrooms all with Freeview TVs, one single bedroom on the ground floor, as well as a double bedroom and a further bedroom with a bunk bed on the first floor. Completing this property is the family bathroom, also on the first floor. Combining rural charm and traditional cottage architecture, with the creature comforts of a contemporary home.
There are many local attractions all within a short car journey, including National Trust properties such as Powys Castle, Attingham Park estate in the medieval town of Shrewsbury, and Chirk Castle. Offa’s Dyke and the River Severn are also close by. Welshpool and Llanfair Light Railway is only 1½ miles away from property, and the market towns of Oswestry and Welshpool are within a short drive, while Chester is 1½ hours away and Shrewsbury is just 30 minutes’ away by car, and all offer a large array of shops and restaurants for guests to enjoy. For the more active guests, there are a great selection of walks, such as the Llanymynech Rocks Nature Reserve, or for those looking for a longer walks, the Shropshire Hills is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and well worth a visit.
