Moorhen Cottage

Moorhen Cottage is in Leverton Highgate, Lincolnshire. It's a single-storey cottage, which means everything is on one level. It's good if stairs are a problem. You share the grounds with a few other cottages, but you have your own patio area. The grounds are about three acres, with a lake and a games room that has a full-size snooker table.

It sleeps two in one bedroom. The bathroom is en-suite. It has a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. It's wheelchair accessible and has grab rails in the bathroom.

It's very quiet here. The village is known for birdlife. There’s good walking and cycling right from the door. The local shop and a pub are about two miles away in the next village.

You're not far from the coast. Skegness is about 15 miles east. It has a long sandy beach and the usual seaside things. Inland, the Lincolnshire Wolds are close. They're an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The countryside is gentle and good for exploring.

Historic Boston is a short drive. Lincoln, with the cathedral and castle, is about 30 miles away. For a day out, you could visit the RAF Museum connections or see the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight if it's flying from RAF Coningsby, which is nearby.

Facilities: there's a washing machine, Wi-Fi, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. No pets, I'm afraid.
