Estate Cottage
Estate Cottage is in Wheldrake. It's a semi-detached cottage that sleeps three people. There are two bedrooms and one bathroom.
It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean but not fancy. There's a small garden out the back and parking on the drive.
The village shop is a few minutes' walk away. The local pub is about the same distance, they do food. There's also an Italian café a bit further up the road.
York is about eight miles away. You can drive in, or use the park and ride. It's got everything: the Minster, the Railway Museum, Jorvik, all of it. Good for a day out. Visit York has the details.
If you like walking, Wheldrake Ings nature reserve is right on the doorstep. It's a big wetland area. Good for birds. Swallow Hall golf course is a couple of miles away, and there are some fishing lakes nearby too.
The cottage has a washing machine, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. No pets, I'm afraid.
For days out further afield, the North York Moors and the coast are within about an hour's drive. The North York Moors National Park site is useful for planning.
