The Lodge
The Lodge is in North Duffield. It's a modern house, detached, with a separate games room building across the garden. It sleeps fourteen people. Seven bedrooms and seven bathrooms, so everyone gets their own. It's a 5 Star place, which means it's well-equipped and finished to a high standard.
The main house has a big open plan living area with a large TV and Sky Glass. There's a mini grand piano that can play by itself. The kitchen has a range cooker, a boiling water tap, and a wood burner. The floors are marble with underfloor heating.
Outside at the front there's a terrace with a BBQ for eating outside. At the back there's another terrace with a hot tub, a hammock, and a lawn.
The separate building is called The Garage. It's a games room with a full-size pool table, an arcade games table, air hockey, a football table, and a jukebox. It has its own kitchenette with a bar area. It also has two more bedrooms and two bathrooms upstairs.
There's parking on site and an electric vehicle charger. It has wifi, a washing machine, a dishwasher, and a cot and highchair if needed. Bedding and towels are included. No pets.
Just across the road is Skipwith Common National Nature Reserve. Good for walks. The local shop and pubs are about a mile and a half away.
York is about a twenty minute drive. You've got the Minster, the Shambles, the Jorvik Centre, and the racecourse all there. The McArthur Glen designer outlet is nearby too, and Selby Abbey is close. The North Yorkshire coast is about an hour's drive if you fancy that.
