Ivy Grange Cottage is on our farm in Wistow. It's a single-storey place, attached to our house, which makes it easy to get in and out. There's a ramp at the front. The doorways are wide enough for a wheelchair.
It sleeps five, which is two bedrooms really. One has a double bed, the other has a single and some bunk beds. There's one bathroom with a shower over the bath. There's a grab rail and a seat in there.
You've got your own enclosed garden patio with a table and a barbecue. There's also a bigger fenced-off area for dogs to run around in. We accept two pets.
Being on a farm, you can walk or cycle straight from the door. There are public footpaths across the fields. The route from the 2014 Tour de France went right by here.
The local pub is a mile away, in the village. It does food. The nearest shop is about three miles, in Cawood. For a bigger shop, Selby is ten minutes by car. It's a market town with an abbey.
York is the main draw. It's about ten miles north. You can drive, or get the bus from the village. It has everything: the Minster, the Shambles, the Railway Museum. All the history.
Within half an hour you can get to Leeds, Wetherby, or Knaresborough. Harrogate, with the Turkish Baths, is about 40 minutes.
The cottage has a 4 Star rating. It's got everything you'd need: WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We provide a cot and a highchair if you need them. At Christmas, we put a tree and some decorations up.
Useful links if you're planning: City of York Council for tourist info, and North York Moors National Park. The coast and the Dales are a bit further, but doable for a day trip.
