Ivy Grange Cottage
Ivy Grange Cottage is here at the farm in Wistow. It's a single-storey place attached to our house, so it's all on the ground floor. It sleeps five, with two bedrooms. There's a double room and a room with a single bed. There's also a pull-out bed if you need it. One bathroom.
You get the garden to yourselves, it's enclosed. There's a bit of grass out the back for dogs. We let you bring two. Parking is right outside.
It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable. Everything's on one level which is handy. The doorways are wide enough for a wheelchair and there's a seat in the shower. The kitchen has what you'd need, and there's a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. We've got a cot and a highchair if you're bringing a little one.
Being on a farm, you can walk or cycle straight from the door. The route for the 2014 Tour de France went past here. The local pub is about a mile away, it does food. The nearest shop is in Selby, that's about three miles.
Selby town is ten minutes by car, they've got the abbey. York is about ten miles. You can drive or get the bus from the village. It's got the Minster, the castle, the Railway Museum, the lot. Leeds, Wetherby, Harrogate are all within half an hour's drive if you want a change.
For a day at the coast, Scarborough or Whitby are about an hour and a half. The Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors are also that sort of distance. There's a golf course nearby.
