Gilbertson Cottage

Gilbertson Cottage is in Wheldrake. It's a detached cottage, so no neighbours attached. The garden is all yours. It's quiet out here.

The place sleeps eight. It's three bedrooms, but two are set up as king-size beds and one has two singles that can be joined together. There are two bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped and finished to a high standard.

Inside, it's open plan. The kitchen leads into the dining area and then the living room. There's a separate snug room too with doors out to the patio. The stairs are fine, nothing unusual.

Outside, there's a patio with seating, a BBQ, and a hot tub. The garden is enclosed.

In the village, there's a local pub. For anything bigger, you'll need to drive. York is about a twenty-minute drive. You've got the Minster, the shops, the Railway Museum, and the walks on the city walls. The National Railway Museum is free.

If you want to get out into the countryside, you're close to the North York Moors. It's about forty minutes to the edge of the National Park. The coast at places like Whitby or Scarborough is about an hour's drive.

For facilities, it has pretty much everything. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking on the drive and an electric vehicle charger. A cot, highchair, and stairgate are here if you need them. No pets, sorry.
