Greenford Farm

Greenford Farm is in Kirkton of Auchterhouse, near Dundee. It's a detached farmhouse. It's up a hill in the fields, so you get good views. It's quiet but Dundee is only about seven miles away if you need anything.

It sleeps six, in three bedrooms. Has two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It was properly done up from scratch a few years ago, so everything works and it's warm. The main room is big, open plan with the kitchen and dining area. There's a wood burner that you can see from the living area and the sun room.

The sun room looks out over the fields. There's a big patio at the front with chairs and a barbecue. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you've got dogs or kids. You can bring up to two dogs.

It's got the things you'd expect: washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them. Parking for a couple of cars. There's an electric vehicle charger now too.

For walking, you're right by the Sidlaw Hills path network. Auchterhouse Hill is a straightforward walk with a great view over Dundee and the Tay. If you drive for half an hour, you can get to the Angus Glens for more serious walks, or to the coast. The beaches at places like Carnoustie and Lunan Bay are good. Dundee has the Discovery Point and the V&A museum, plus shops and restaurants.
