Appletree Cottage
This is Appletree Cottage. It's on our farm, Barns of Claverhouse, out near Glamis in Angus. It's all on one floor, a bungalow I suppose, so everything's easy.
It's really for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom with a shower. The place is rated 4 Star. It's comfortable. Clean. You've got a woodburning stove, which you'll need most of the year. Does a good job. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine, and parking right outside.
The garden is yours. It's enclosed. There's a patio with a table and chairs, and a barbecue. You can bring a couple of dogs. They'll like the field walks from the door. This is a proper working farm, so you'll see tractors and sheep about. You might hear us. If you've got a very small child we've got a cot you can use.
Glamis Castle is about ten minutes away by car. It's the one with the Macbeth connections. Glamis Castle. Dundee is maybe twenty-five minutes. They've got the V&A up there now, and the Discovery. For a longer day out, you can get into the Cairngorms in under an hour, or up to Aberdeen in about the same.
