Poppy's By The Sea
Poppy's By The Sea is on Hayling Island. It's a detached house on a private road, about a minute's walk from the beach. You can see the sea from the front.
It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms. One bathroom is a wet room on the ground floor. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean and well-equipped, not super fancy but everything works.
The house is all on one level except for the bedrooms, which are upstairs. The stairs are fine. The garden is enclosed, so it's safe for dogs and kids.
You're right on the beach. It's shingle at high tide but sand when it goes out. The water is sheltered, so it's popular for windsurfing and sailing. You can watch it all from the front.
There's a games room in the garage with a pool table. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and parking for two cars on the drive. Bedding and towels are included. We allow up to two dogs.
Hayling Island itself is quiet. There's a local pub and a shop a short walk away. For a bigger shop, you drive into Havant, which is about ten minutes.
Chichester is a 20 minute drive. It's good for shopping and the theatre. Portsmouth is about half an hour. You can see the historic docks and the Spinnaker Tower.
The South Downs National Park is just across the bridge. Good for a proper walk if you get tired of the beach. The National Trust has maps for some of the better walks nearby.
