Coachmans Close
Coachmans Close is in Milverton, a village about six miles from Taunton. It's detached, and it's all on one ground floor. That was a big selling point for me, no stairs to worry about.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms. One of the bathrooms is a shower room with a walk-in shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well looked after.
The layout is a bit unusual. The house is in an L shape around a courtyard garden. The main living room looks out the front, and the master bedroom has French doors onto the courtyard. There's a veranda round the side where you get a good view of the sunset.
Milverton has a village shop about five minutes walk away. They sell the basics and some local bits. The proper supermarket run is into Taunton.
You can walk straight from the door. There are footpaths in most directions. If you want to drive, Exmoor National Park is about 20 minutes away. The West Somerset Railway starts at Bishops Lydeard, which is a 15 minute drive. That takes you to Minehead and the coast.
Facilities: it has a woodburning stove, a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. You can bring up to two dogs. Parking is on the drive.
