Old Rectory Cottage is a wing of a 17th century house in Hillfarrance. It's quiet here, good if you want some peace. It's got a 2 Star rating, so the basics are covered but it's not luxurious.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom. The stairs are wooden and cottagey. They're fine, just mind your head.
You get the garden to yourselves. It's enclosed.
There's a pub and a village shop a five minute walk away. The golf course is nearby if you play.
You're well placed for driving out. Wellington and Taunton are about six miles, for supermarkets and that. The Somerset County Cricket ground is in Taunton. The Quantock Hills and the Brendons are on the doorstep for walking. Exmoor is about a 30 minute drive. Dunster and the coast are a bit further, maybe 40 minutes.
Inside, there's a woodburner for cooler nights, a washing machine, WiFi, and parking. We can provide a cot and highchair. No pets, I'm afraid.
For planning walks and days out, Exmoor National Park and the National Trust in Somerset have good information.
