Hideaway
This is the Hideaway, in Brompton Ralph. It's a cottage attached to our farmhouse. It's high up here, so the views over the fields are really quite something.
The place sleeps four. There are two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's rated 3 Star, which is about right. It's comfortable and clean, not luxurious. You bring one well-behaved dog if you want.
The stairs are typical for an old place. Watch your head on a couple of the beams.
You've got your own garden and patio. There's a wooden barbecue shelter out there you can use, just let us know when you want it. Parking is right outside.
It's very quiet. The nearest pub doing food is about two miles down the road in Roadwater. For shops, you need Wiveliscombe, which is four miles. They've got a good Co-op and butchers.
You're on the edge of Exmoor here. For walking, it's excellent straight from the door. Wimbleball Lake is a short drive and good for watersports. The coast at Watchet or Minehead is about half an hour. Dunster with its castle is in that direction too.
Inside, there's WiFi, a shower, washing machine, and we include the bedding and towels. We can put a cot and highchair in for you.
