Oak Lodge is in Sticklepath, right on the edge of Exmoor National Park. It's a detached, single-storey lodge. Everything's on one level, which is good. There's a ramp to the front door.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathroom. One bathroom is a wet room. It has a 4 Star rating. It's modern inside, underfloor heating, that sort of thing.
The main thing is the deck. Big south-facing deck off the living room and bedrooms. You get a view through the pine trees to the fields. Three steps down from the deck to the garden, which is fully enclosed. Good if you have dogs.
You can bring up to two pets. There's on-site parking and an electric vehicle charger you can use for a fixed cost. You need to ask about that beforehand.
The local pub and a restaurant are about a mile away. The nearest shop is in Dulverton, five miles. The coast at Minehead is about six miles.
You're right by Exmoor for walking. The ponies and deer are just there. Dulverton is a nice village with shops and cafes. For a bigger day out, you can drive to Dunkery Beacon or Porlock Weir within half an hour.
Facilities: it has the usual things like a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if needed.
It’s a quiet spot. Useful links for planning: Exmoor National Park and National Trust Somerset.
