Broomlands Cottage is in Beattock, just south of Moffat. It's a detached cottage, so no one attached to either side. The garden is fully enclosed and it's a decent size.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. We renovated it in 2020, so things like the kitchen and bathroom are modern. There's a wood burning stove in the living room. It works well.
Moffat is two miles away. It's a small town with shops, cafes, and a few places to eat. The famous toffee shop is there. There are good walks straight from the cottage or from town. Grey Mare's Tail waterfall is about a 15 minute drive up the A708. It's a National Trust for Scotland site and worth seeing.
You're well placed for exploring. The Southern Upland Way runs through here. The coast around Dumfries and Galloway is about an hour's drive. For a city day, Glasgow and Edinburgh are both roughly an hour away by car.
The facilities are what you'd expect: wifi, TV, washing machine, parking for two cars on the gravel drive. Bedding and towels are included. The garden is secure for dogs. We accept up to two pets.
