Barnhill Bothy Beattock

Barnhill Bothy is in Beattock, about three miles from Moffat. It's a detached place, sits on its own. The garden is fenced in, which is handy.

It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, so think comfortable and clean. The shower is a proper walk-in one, which is good if you don't like a bath.

It's open plan downstairs. You've got the kitchen, sitting area, and table all in one room. The washing machine is in a cupboard off the kitchen. Bedding and towels are included.

You're right out in the countryside here. The nearest shop and pub are in Moffat, three miles away. Moffat is a quiet town. It's got a park with a boating lake, and they're known for the flower displays.

For walking, the Southern Upland Way is on the doorstep. The Devil's Beef Tub is a famous local landmark, a big hollow in the hills. The Grey Mare's Tail waterfall is about a twenty-minute drive, maybe half an hour. It's a good walk up to it.

If you want to explore further, Dumfries is within half an hour. The coast at the Solway Firth is about forty-five minutes. It's a good base for that part of the world.

You can bring up to three dogs. There's parking right outside.
