Summerlea Cottage is on a quiet lane just off Moffat's main street. It's a terraced cottage that sleeps four, with two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. We refurbished it in 2018, so it's in good order. It's clean and comfortable.
The living room has a feature wall with an electric fire. The bedrooms are next door to each other, which is handy if you've got kids. The stairs are a typical cottage style, so they turn a corner and are a bit steeper towards the top.
You're right in the town. There's a shop, pubs, and cafes about a two-minute walk away. The High Street has butchers, bakeries, that sort of thing. Moffat is on the Southern Upland Way, so it's a proper walking hub. You can start a hike from the doorstep.
If you drive, you can get to the coast in under half an hour. The South West Coastal 300 route is a good way to see it. Gretna Green is about 40 minutes south. Heading north, you can be in the Lowther Hills or at the Devil's Beef Tub pretty quickly.
For facilities, it's got the basics. WiFi, TV, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's on-street parking right outside. No pets, sorry.
