Roseburn Cottage is on the edge of Moffat. It's part of our house, but you've got your own front door and it's completely separate. It used to be a stable for a pony and trap. It sleeps two people.
It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's comfortable. There's one bedroom and one bathroom. The bedroom is on the ground floor. The bathroom has a walk-in shower.
The main room is a living room with a kitchen area at one end. It's bright. There are French doors that look out to the garden. We've got a wood burning stove in there. It gets cold up here sometimes, so it's useful.
Outside, there's a small courtyard garden at the back with a table and chairs. You're welcome to use the main garden too. There's parking right outside.
The cottage is wheelchair friendly at the entrance and for the bedroom and bathroom. The shower is a walk-in. The kitchen worktops might be a bit high for some, but we can provide a perching stool if you need one.
Moffat is about half a mile down the road. You can walk it. There are a few shops, some good pubs that do food, and restaurants. The town has a lot of music events.
It's walking country. The Southern Upland Way goes right through Moffat. The Grey Mare's Tail waterfall is about ten miles away. It's a National Trust for Scotland site. For a drive, St Mary's Loch is about half an hour. The scenery is good.
Edinburgh and Glasgow are both roughly an hour's drive if you want a city day. Drumlanrig Castle is about 40 minutes away.
Inside, there's a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can store bikes. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
