Stack View Cottage
Stack View Cottage is our place in Penrhosfeilw, on Anglesey. It's attached to our house, but you have your own entrance and a completely private garden.
It sleeps eight with four bedrooms. Two are downstairs, and two are upstairs. There's a bathroom and a separate wet room. The wet room is on the ground floor, which is useful. The stairs are wooden and a bit steep, like you'd expect.
The main thing is the view. You look out one way towards South Stack lighthouse, and the other way you can see the mountains of Snowdonia. The garden is enclosed. There's a hot tub out there. We keep it clean and serviced.
You're on the coast path straight away. Turn left and you're on the RSPB reserve in a few minutes, with all the seabirds. The puffins are there in spring. You can see seals in the sea below. Turn right and you can walk down to Porth Dafarch beach, which is sandy. That's about a twenty minute walk.
Trearddur Bay has shops, cafes, and a couple of pubs. It's about three miles by car. Holyhead is close if you're getting a ferry to Ireland.
For a day out, Plas Newydd is a nice house and gardens. It's about half an hour's drive. The castles at Conwy, Caernarfon, and Beaumaris are all within 40 minutes or so. Snowdonia is easily accessible for a drive or a walk.
Facilities wise: it's got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. We have a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them. You can bring up to three dogs. Parking is on the drive for two, maybe three cars if you're careful.
