Sedge Lodge is one of the Wood Fen Lodges, out near Littleport. It's in the Fens, so the views are big and flat. Very quiet.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating. It's new and well done, so everything works. There's underfloor heating downstairs and a wood burner for the evenings. The hot tub is private, in your own enclosed garden.
There's an on-site spa if you want to book a treatment. The property is all on one level, so no stairs to worry about.
For facilities, you've got the usual: dishwasher, washing machine, TV, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot if you need it, and bike storage. Parking is right outside.
You can bring one dog.
The nearest shop is about a mile away. There's a pub and restaurant two miles off.
If you want to go out, Ely is close. The cathedral is the thing to see. It's called the 'Ship of the Fens'. Cambridge is about a 30 minute drive. You can go punting, see the museums, or just walk around the colleges. Newmarket is nearby if you're into horse racing.
For a day trip, you can get to the coast at Hunstanton in under an hour. It's a classic seaside town with a long beach. Or you could go to the Imperial War Museum at Duxford if you like aircraft. It's about 40 minutes.
