Vineyard's Apartment is on the main road into Ely. It's a first floor flat over a commercial unit, but it's quiet and you get your own parking space round the back.
It's a five star place, which really just means everything is new, clean, and works well. It's all open plan. One bedroom, one bathroom. Sleeps two.
The location is the main thing. You're two minutes from the high street. You can see the Cathedral from the window. The river and the towpath are about eight minutes' walk.
Ely itself is small. You can see the Cathedral, Oliver Cromwell's House, and the markets easily in a day. The Stained Glass Museum is in the Cathedral itself. For a longer walk, you can follow the river out towards the countryside.
It's good for a base. Cambridge is about 20 minutes by train. Newmarket racecourse is 15 minutes by car. For birdwatching, WWT Welney and Wicken Fen are both a short drive away. The Norfolk coast is about 45 minutes if you fancy a day at the sea.
Facilities: it's got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and a small enclosed patio area. Everything is on one level so it's wheelchair accessible at the entrance. Bedding and towels are included.
