Seascape is a terraced mews house in Inverboyndie, just outside Banff. It's a couple of hundred yards from the beach. There’s a path along the coast you can take to get there. It's more of a bay than a classic long beach, but it's sandy and popular with surfers.
The house sleeps five. There are two bedrooms, both upstairs, and they each have their own bathroom, which is useful. The stairs are a standard turn, not too steep.
The living room looks out towards the sea. You can see a good bit of it from the front windows. On a rough day you can hear the waves from the bedrooms.
It’s a quiet spot. There's an enclosed patio out the back. Parking is on the drive at the front. Everything you’d expect is there: washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV.
For things nearby, there’s a small shop a few minutes’ walk away. The pub and a restaurant are about a mile away in Banff town. The town has Duff House, which is a National Trust for Scotland place with an art gallery and big grounds to walk around. You can get tours there.
The Macduff Marine Aquarium is a short drive away. It’s good for kids. You can often see dolphins off the coast from there, and they do boat trips. If you like golf, Duff House Royal is in Banff.
For a decent walk, you can follow the coastal path from Banff harbour all the way to Whitehills, which is a small fishing village. The path is part of the National Cycle Network, so it’s well signed.
If you're here to explore, Royal Deeside and the Cairngorms are within an hour or so. Here are a couple of links for planning: National Trust for Scotland Duff House and Cairngorms National Park.
