The Old Net Shed is in Whitehills, a fishing village on the Aberdeenshire coast. It's a small, detached building that used to be for storing fishing nets. You can park right outside.
It sleeps four. There are two bedrooms upstairs and one bathroom. One bedroom has a four-poster bed. The stairs inside are okay, but the step down from the living area into the kitchen is a bit of a trip hazard if you're not paying attention.
The kitchen units are made from old reclaimed wood. It looks good. There's a Rangemaster cooker, a dishwasher, and a washing machine. The living room has a wood burner for cooler evenings. There's a TV and WiFi.
You get two patios, one at the front and one at the back, so you can follow the sun. The garden is enclosed.
In the village there's a shop, a fish and chip shop, a pub that does food, and a fishmonger. The harbour and a small beach are just down the hill.
Portsoy and Cullen are about ten minutes drive along the coast. Banff and Macduff are maybe fifteen. The beach at Sandend is very good. For a day out, the RSPB reserve at Troup Head is worth it for the seabird colonies. The Malt Whisky Trail starts inland from here.
