Mansefield Cottage Blacklaw

Mansefield Cottage is near the village of Blacklaw. It's a semi-rural spot, meaning it's quiet but you're not totally isolated. The views are good, looking out over fields towards the coast.

It sleeps three people. There are two bedrooms: a double and a single. One bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, which means it's been well done up. We had it all renovated a few years ago. The main living area is open plan with tiled floors, which is easy to keep clean. The kitchen has what you'll need.

There's a telescope in the living room. The sunsets over the fields can be nice.

You're about four miles from Portsoy. It's a proper old fishing port with a historic harbour and a few beaches. Good for a wander. The local shop, pub, and restaurant are there too, so that's your nearest.

The coast around here has lots of sandy bays for walking. You can pick up walks and cycle routes practically from the door if you want.

Aberdeen is about an hour's drive if you need the city. For local days out, the National Trust for Scotland has properties and walks nearby. The Cairngorms National Park is also within reach, maybe 90 minutes for parts of it.

Facilities: there's private parking, a washing machine, WiFi, and a garden area with seating. Bedding and towels are included. No pets, sorry.
