Sheaf Dale

Sheaf Dale is a cottage on our farm, about a mile outside Portmahomack. It's a single-storey place, so all on one level. You've got your own parking area round the back, which is gated. Good if you've brought bikes or a canoe.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. The place was renovated a while back, so it's in good order. The living room is big and looks out over the fields.

The garden is lawned and there's a patio. The hot tub is there, tucked away at the bottom. You get a view across the fields to the sea from it.

Portmahomack village is a mile down the road. There's a shop, a pub, and a good seafood restaurant. The beach is sandy and it's a nice walk. There's a small harbour for crabbing. The local golf course, Tarbat, is just a short walk away.

Tain is about a ten minute drive. That's where you'll find a bigger supermarket, some other shops and places to eat. The Glenmorangie distillery is there if you want a tour.

For a day out, Dornoch is about half an hour by car. It's a nice town with a cathedral and a famous golf course. The Falls of Shin, where you can sometimes see salmon jumping, is also within a 30 minute drive.

In terms of what's here: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. The parking is on site. We allow up to two pets.
