Middledown is one of the cottages in the old stable yard here in Newton Valence. It's a new build, but done to look like the traditional clapper board barns you see round here.
It sleeps six people. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One of the bathrooms is a wet room on the ground floor. It's got a 3 Star rating. Everything's clean and modern inside, it's got WiFi and a washing machine. There's a mezzanine level above the lounge with a bit of extra seating.
You've got your own little patio area in the shared courtyard. The yard is paved, so it's low maintenance. It looks out over the fields.
The riding school on site does guided treks if you fancy that. Otherwise, you're just surrounded by countryside, good for walking or cycling.
It's a quiet spot. The nearest shop and pub are in Selborne, about two miles away. Alton is a ten minute drive for a bigger supermarket.
For days out, Selborne is famous for Gilbert White's house. Jane Austen's House is in Chawton, about twenty minutes away. You can be at the edge of the South Downs National Park in half an hour, or down at the coast around Portsmouth in about forty minutes.
Facilities are all included: bedding, towels, parking. You can bring up to two dogs. We've got a cot and a highchair if you need them.
