Middledown is here in Newton Valence. It's a new build cottage made to look like the old clapperboard barns you see around here. It's set in a stable yard, so there are fields and woods all around you.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One bathroom is a wet room on the ground floor. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's clean and modern inside, with Wi-Fi and a washing machine. There's a mezzanine gallery above the lounge, which is a quiet spot to sit and read. The stairs up to it are a bit steep.
You have your own patio area with furniture in the shared courtyard. The main garden is shared too.
We can take up to two dogs. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. You park right outside.
There's a riding school on-site if you fancy a guided hack. For walking, you can step straight out onto the footpaths. The South Downs Way isn't far.
Within about half an hour's drive, you've got the market towns of Alton and Petersfield. Jane Austen's House Museum in Chawton is close. For something bigger, Winchester is about 40 minutes away. The coast at the Solent is roughly 40 minutes too.
