Whitedown
This is Whitedown. It's in Upper Farringdon. It's a conversion, used to be part of a granary in a stable yard. It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean.
It's in a quiet courtyard shared with a few other cottages. You get your own outdoor seating area there. There's on-site parking.
The inside is straightforward. The kitchen and bathroom are nice. It has Wi-Fi and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.
The stairs inside are a typical cottage style, so they turn a corner and are a bit steep.
You can bring up to two dogs. The patio area is enclosed, which helps.
It's very rural here. You look out over fields and woods. Good for walks straight from the door. There's a riding school on the site if you wanted to book a hack.
If you want to go out, Alton is about ten minutes away by car. That's where the main shops are. Jane Austen's House Museum in Chawton is a fifteen minute drive. For a longer day out, the South Downs National Park is within half an hour. Winchester is about twenty-five minutes away.
