Maplescombe is in East Tisted. It's a sort of barn conversion, built from an old granary in a stable yard. You’re right in the countryside here, fields and woods all around.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it’s comfortable and clean but not overly fancy. The place has Wi-Fi and parking.
The garden is a shared patio courtyard with your own bit of seating. It's enclosed, which is good if you’ve got dogs or kids. You can bring two pets.
There's a riding school on site if you fancy a trek. Otherwise, you’re just set up for walking or cycling straight from the door.
A few things to know. The place has an interconnecting door to the cottage next door, Goldridge. It's kept locked unless both places are booked together. Also, it's part of a barn, so the walls are thick but you might hear the neighbours sometimes.
For days out, the South Downs are close. Winchester is about a 25 minute drive, Alton is less. Jane Austen’s house at Chawton is nearby if that’s of interest. For a longer trip, the New Forest or the coast around Portsmouth are under an hour.
Facilities are all there: washing machine, TV, included bedding and towels. There's a cot, highchair, and stairgate too.
