Fox Cottage is one of two barns on our working farm on the edge of Chipping Sodbury. It's quiet here, surrounded by fields. You've got your own enclosed garden which is handy if you're bringing dogs.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms, and there's one bathroom. The place has a 4 Star rating. We keep it clean and comfortable, it's not a palace but it does the job. The barn walls are thick stone, so it stays cool in summer. It heats up well in winter.
The floors are stone downstairs, which is practical, but you might want some slippers.
The town centre with shops and a few pubs is about a mile down the lane. The pubs serve decent food. For a bigger shop, Yate is a short drive away.
You're in a good spot for getting out. We're on the edge of the Cotswolds. Badminton is just three miles away. Bristol and Bath are both about twelve miles, so you can easily pop in for the day. The WWT Slimbridge Wetland Centre is great if you like birds. Westonbirt Arboretum is beautiful, especially in autumn.
If you like walking, the Cotswold Way runs close by. For a longer drive out, the Forest of Dean or the Wye Valley are within half an hour.
In terms of facilities: Your own parking is right outside. Bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine and a cot if you need one. You can bring up to two dogs.
