Commonwealth Cottage

This is Commonwealth Cottage in Latteridge. It's my place, a small detached cottage in the grounds of our main house. It's quiet here, just fields and our garden out back. The cottage is separate, so you have your own privacy.

It sleeps two. One bedroom with a double bed and one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, which basically means it's comfortable and clean. Fair warning, the stairs are a bit steep and narrow. That's just how they are in an old cottage.

The garden is yours to use. There's a patio bit with a table and chairs. Parking for one car is right by the cottage.

There's a village pub about a mile and a half away. It's a decent walk. The nearest shop, for basics, is in Iron Acton, about two miles. For a bigger supermarket, you'd want to drive to Chipping Sodbury or Thornbury.

You're in a good spot for getting out. The southern Cotswolds are right there. The Forest of Dean is about a 25 minute drive across the river. Bristol city centre is roughly 30 minutes by car, and Bath is about 40 minutes. Both are easy for a day trip.

Inside, it's got what you need. WiFi, a TV, a washing machine, and a shower. Bedding and towels are included. Up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome.

If you're looking for things to do locally, the National Trust at Dyrham Park is close by.
