This is the house on Skye we call Hygge. It's in Ose, a small crofting village on the west coast. You look out over Loch Bracadale towards the islands of Tarner and Harlosh. The view is the main thing.
It's a modern, detached house built to be comfortable and warm, with underfloor heating and a wood burner. Sleeps seven. Three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. One is on the ground floor and is wheelchair accessible. There's parking and an electric vehicle charger.
The garden is enclosed, which is good if you're bringing a dog. We allow one well-behaved pet. You get bedding and towels included. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV.
The beach is a few minutes' walk away. It's not a sandy beach, more rocky and wild. For the white coral beaches, you need to drive to Dunvegan.
Dunvegan Castle is about twenty minutes by car. The old Broch at Dun Beag is closer, maybe ten minutes. If you're into walking, the Cuillin hills are within half an hour. The whole island is good for that, or for boat trips, kayaking, or just driving to see the scenery.
