Rowan House Fiskavaig

Rowan House is in Fiskavaig on Skye. It's a detached house. It sleeps six in four bedrooms, with three bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating, so it's fitted out well. Everything you'd expect is there.

The main thing is the view. There are big windows looking straight out over the sea. You might see seals on the beach. It’s right there. You can walk down for a look.

The house is warm and comfortable inside. It’s open plan, good for everyone being together. There’s a wood burning stove. The parking is right outside.

It’s a quiet spot. The nearest shop and pub are about three miles away in Carbost. For a bigger shop or more places to eat, you’d go to Portree. That’s about half an hour’s drive.

If you want to go out, Talisker Distillery is just down the road in Carbost. Dunvegan Castle is about half an hour north. The walk to Coral Beach from there is good.

Portree is the main town. It's got a nice harbour, shops, places to eat, and boat trips you can book.

For walks, the whole island is right there. The Walkhighlands Skye page is useful for planning routes. The National Trust for Scotland has information about some of the local history if you're heading over to the mainland.

Facilities: everything on the list is there and works. Washing machine, dishwasher, wifi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair. It's all wheelchair accessible on the ground floor. Sorry, no pets.
