Hawthorn Lodge
Hawthorn Lodge is one of four solid wood lodges set in natural woodland right on the banks of the Caledonian Canal. With uninterrupted views of Ben Nevis acting as a dramatic backdrop it has one of the best views in this area of the Highlands. The lodge has been well maintained and provides attractive and welcoming accommodation for up to six people. The main living area is open plan. The living area has deep leather sofas and the main door opens onto a large veranda with outdoor dining furniture; an ideal location to sit and watch the boats sail past on the famous Caledonian Canal below whilst drinking in the magnificent view of the north face of Ben Nevis and the Aonach Mor ski slopes. There is a modern kitchen with dining table for six. The three good sized bedrooms are well presented, with colour coordinated soft furnishings. A large modern family bathroom with bath and shower over completes the picture. Each lodge has been carefully sited to give maximum privacy and the canal at the end of the garden grounds is fenced off, whilst giving plenty of space for walks for dogs as well as children. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.
Hawthorn Lodge can be booked together with Beech House and Birch Lodge to accommodate up to 18 guests.
