The Gin Gang
The Gin Gang is in Whorlton, near Swainby. It's an old farm building they've done up really well. It sleeps six, with three bedrooms and four bathrooms. The rating is 5 Star, which means it's a step above the usual cottage. It's comfortable.
There are a lot of windows, so it's very light inside. The main living space is up in the old wheelhouse part, so the ceilings are high. The stairs up to the master bedroom are a proper flight, not cottage steep, so that's easier.
You've got a garden area with seating. The views are over fields. It's quiet.
For facilities, you've got the normal things: washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, parking. There's an electric vehicle charger. It's a luxury property, so bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
The pub in Swainby is about a mile away. Good for food. For walking, you can go straight from the door into the Cleveland Hills. The North York Moors National Park is right there.
Within half an hour you can get to Northallerton for shops, or to Roseberry Topping for a walk. The coast, like Saltburn-by-the-Sea or Whitby, is about a 40 minute drive depending on traffic. For a longer day out, the Yorkshire Dales are west, maybe 45 minutes.
