Britton Hall Bungalow is near Stanhope in Weardale. It's modern, built for holiday lets. Everything's on one level, so it's easy to get around if steps are a problem.
It sleeps six, but there are two bedrooms: one double and one twin. The twin room has its own TV. There's one bathroom with a shower over the bath. The main room is open plan, kitchen at one end, sofa and wood burner at the other. It works.
Out the back there's a patio with a hot tub, a BBQ, and some furniture. It's enclosed and private. You get the whole space to yourselves.
Westgate is a small village right in the North Pennines. It's good walking country. The Weardale Way goes through here. For a specific walk, Slitt Wood is nearby. Stanhope is a couple of miles away for shops, a cafe, and an outdoor pool in summer. They have a heritage railway too.
If you drive, High Force waterfall is about half an hour away. It's impressive. Middleton-in-Teesdale is up that way as well. Durham city is roughly 45 minutes by car if you want a day out at the cathedral.
Facilities: everything's included like the electricity and WiFi. There's a washing machine, parking, and bedding is provided. We allow up to two dogs. There's a cot if you need one.
