Thistle No.4 is on the first floor of a converted barn in Althorne, just off the main road.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one a double and one with two singles. One shower room. It's a 4 Star, so it's comfortable and in good order. The stairs up are internal, fairly steep.
It’s open plan inside. The kitchen is at one end, living space in the middle, and the dining table is by the big window. That window looks out over the fields. You get the best of the afternoon sun there.
You have your own front door. There's parking right outside. The garden space is shared with the other apartments.
Althorne is a quiet village. There's a shop and a station, but the local pub is a mile or so away. The Crouch Ridge Vineyard is next door. They do tours and have a cafe.
Burnham-on-Crouch is about five minutes by car. It's a sailing town on the river. Nice for a wander. Maldon is fifteen minutes away. Good for shopping, and you can see the old Thames sailing barges at the Hythe.
The coast is a 30 minute drive. Southminster and the Dengie peninsula are that way. Or you can go over to Southend-on-Sea.
For facilities, it's got a dishwasher, washing machine, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
