Orchard House is near Rochford, about a fifteen minute walk from the town centre. It's a big place, sleeps ten. Five bedrooms, four of them have their own shower room.
It's been done up to a high standard, so it's got the five star rating. Everything's new and works properly. There's a big open plan kitchen and living area downstairs, which is good for a group. The garden is enclosed and private, with a hot tub and a barbecue.
It's a rural spot, so you're looking out over fields. It's quiet. Rochford itself has the basics: a few shops, a supermarket, some pubs and places to eat. Tuesday is market day. The station is there too if you need it.
Southend-on-Sea is about a ten minute drive. You've got the pier there, and the Adventure Island theme park for kids. Leigh-on-Sea is a bit further, maybe twenty minutes. That's more of an old fishing town, good for seafood and a walk along the estuary.
If you want to get out walking, the Visit Essex site has ideas for local routes. For a longer day out, you can get the train from Rochford into London Fenchurch Street in about an hour.
Facilities: all the bedding and towels are included. There's parking for a few cars, a washing machine, dishwasher, cot and highchair. WiFi. There's an electric vehicle charger. You can bring up to two dogs.
