Farmtoun Cottage

This is Farmtoun Cottage. It's in Ballindarg, which is just outside Forfar in Angus. The cottage is 'l' shaped and the garden is yours. It looks out onto the farm fields. It's quiet out here.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom downstairs. It's a 4 Star rating, which is good. It means everything works and it's kept clean and comfortable. It's an eco place, so it's well insulated and has things like a heat pump. The stairs are a typical cottage spiral, so watch your head on the way up.

Outside, there's a private sauna hut and a cold plunge tub in the garden. They're there if you want them.

Forfar is a five minute drive. There's a decent Co-op, a few takeaways, and the usual shops. They're famous for the Forfar Bridie, which is worth trying. Forfar Loch Country Park is good for a flat walk or a cycle.

You're well placed here for getting out. Glamis Castle is about ten minutes away. It's a proper Scottish castle with the history and the gardens. Visit Scotland has a page on Forfar and the area. The Angus Glens, like Glen Clova, are about half an hour's drive for proper hill walking. You can be in Dundee in half an hour if you want museums or the V&A, or to go to the beach.

As for what's here: there's parking, a washing machine, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. There's a golf course in Forfar and fishing is available locally.
