Terra Verde is our house in Beauly. It's a modern bungalow on a quiet lane, so there's no traffic. You can park three cars on the drive.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One bedroom has an ensuite shower. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's well equipped and comfortable.
The main thing is the view. The back of the house is almost all glass, looking straight out over farmland to the hills. The garden is big, mostly lawn, with a patio and table. You get the sun in the evening.
Inside, it's all open plan. Big kitchen with a double oven and a dishwasher, then the living and dining area right there. There's a utility room with a washer and dryer, which is handy.
Beauly village is about half a mile walk. It's got a Co-op, a butcher, a couple of cafes and some pubs that do food. The river's good for fishing. There's a golf course at Muir of Ord, about three miles away.
Inverness is 20 minutes in the car. From there you can get the train south, or do the city things.
For walking, you're right in the middle of it. Glen Affric is about a 40-minute drive, and it's spectacular. Plenty of trails start much closer to the house. You'll often see red kites and deer.
The beach is at the Moray Firth, about a 25-minute drive.
What's here: all bedding and towels, WiFi, Smart TVs, the kitchen stuff, and a welcome pack with some basic bits when you arrive. Sorry, no pets.
