Cruives Lodge

Cruives Lodge is near Beauly in the Highlands. It's a big house right on the River Beauly. You can hear the river from the garden.

It sleeps twelve people in six bedrooms. Each bedroom is a double, and five have their own bathroom. The sixth uses the family bathroom. It's got a four star rating. It's spacious and well equipped, but the main thing is the location.

The river is at the bottom of the garden. There's no fence between the lawn and the water, so you need to keep an eye on children. The garden has a seating area and a brick barbecue. There's parking for six cars.

Inside, there's a big living room, a huge dining room with a table for eighteen, and a kitchen with an Aga. There's a useful room for boots and coats, and a utility room with a washing machine.

Beauly village is about a mile away. It's got a butcher, a bakery, a couple of cafes and some pubs. Inverness is twenty minutes by car for bigger shops or a cinema.

You're well placed for getting out. The golf at Castle Stuart is famous. There's fishing on the river or riding locally. Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle are about forty minutes drive. The whole north coast is within reach for a day out.

It lets you bring two dogs. All the bedding and towels are included, and the wifi works. There's a wood burner for cooler evenings.
