The Coach House Annexe Tilston

The Coach House Annexe is a ground-floor studio for two, attached to the side of our house. The house is grade two listed, so nothing is straight or standard. It's surrounded by our land, about three acres of fields and garden.

It's a four-star rating, which feels about right. It's clean and comfortable. You've got your own front door. Inside it's all one room, a studio, with the kitchenette and living space at one end and the bed at the other. The bathroom has a spa bath. The ceiling is low in the bathroom because of the old beams, so watch your head.

We live in the main house, so we're around if you need anything. We press our own apple juice from the orchard and sometimes have eggs from the chickens. We can leave some bits for you if you ask beforehand.

You're welcome to walk around the grounds. There's a shallow stream at the bottom. The chickens are free range, so they might come and say hello.

Tilston village is about a mile away. There's a pub that does food and a good village shop. Malpas is five minutes by car and has more shops and a couple of cafes.

For walking, the Sandstone Trail is very close. You can pick it up in Duckington, just down the road. It's a proper, signposted long-distance path. Sandstone Trail.

Carden Park golf and spa is about ten minutes drive. There are a few castles nearby, like Cholmondeley Castle, which are nice for a visit. Chester is roughly half an hour. The traffic can be busy getting into the city, so factor that in.

Facilities: you've got a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. We have an electric vehicle charger. There's a cot and highchair if needed. No pets, sorry.
