The Great Escape

The Great Escape is on Sharpstone Street in Barham, Suffolk. It's a detached house. It sleeps twelve people. There are six bedrooms and three bathrooms. One of the bedrooms and one bathroom are downstairs, which is handy.

It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's well-equipped and comfortable. It's not a show home, but it's clean and everything works. The living, dining and kitchen area is open plan, so everyone can be together.

The garden has a patio and a ten-person hot tub. We do ask you to be considerate with the hot tub, especially in the evenings, as it's a quiet street. The hot tub temperature might not be at its peak when you arrive due to the changeover, but it heats up quickly.

Facilities wise: it's got parking, a washing machine, a dishwasher, and a woodburning stove. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. You can bring up to two dogs.

The Sorrell Horse pub is very close by, a couple of minutes' walk. They do good food. The village is quiet, which is nice.

For things to do, Framlingham Castle is about a fifteen-minute drive. You can walk the walls. If you're a member, it's free. English Heritage Framlingham Castle. Needham Lake is about ten minutes away by car. It's good for a stroll or a picnic.

The coast, places like Aldeburgh and Southwold, is around forty minutes' drive. Dedham Vale, which is Constable Country, is maybe half an hour. It's nice for a walk along the river. National Trust Dedham Vale.
