Wick Mill Wick

Wick Mill's an old barn, but it's on its own now. Detached, I mean. It's just outside the village of Wick in Somerset. You park right on the driveway, there's room for two cars.

It sleeps two people. One bedroom upstairs, bathroom's downstairs. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable, everything's included.

You go in through the main door into one big room. It's open plan, kitchen, living and dining area all together. There are beams across the ceiling. Two sets of French doors open out, one to a side patio area and the other to the garden. The garden's a decent size, it's lawned and goes right down to a stream at the bottom. It's quiet.

The stairs to the bedroom are spiral and a bit steep. The bedroom's upstairs in a galleried space, it's got a super king-size bed.

Downstairs there's a washing machine, a smart TV, and WiFi. The shower is a wet room style, so it's all one level.

The local pub is about a mile away, it does food. You're not far from the coast at Weston-super-Mare or Brean. The Quantock Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is right there for walking. Bristol's about half an hour's drive if you need a city. National Trust Quantock Hills has information on walks and places to visit.

You can bring one dog. Bedding and towels are included.
