Muir Cottage Muir of Alford

Muir Cottage is in Muir of Alford. It's on a farm, about three miles out from the town of Alford. The cottage is one of a pair, they're identical. It's detached, so you've got your own space.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean but not posh. There's a woodburning stove for heat and a bit of atmosphere. The kitchen has a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's a garden area and parking right outside.

You can bring up to two dogs. The farm land around here is good for walks straight from the door. If you want a proper walk, Bennachie is about a 25 minute drive. The National Trust for Scotland site has information on that area.

Alford has shops, a couple of pubs that do food, and the Grampian Transport Museum. For a day out, Aberdeen is roughly 40 minutes by car. Royal Deeside and Balmoral are about a 30-35 minute drive west. There's a golf course at Alford too.

If you need more space, the cottage next door is the same layout. You can book both together for a bigger group.
