Elizabeth Lodge is in Alford, which is a big village in Aberdeenshire. The house is all on one level. That’s handy.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It’s got a 4 Star rating. It’s modern and clean, with everything you need.
You’ve got a private bit of lawn out the front to sit on. The garden isn’t fenced though, so something to know if you’re bringing dogs or little kids.
Inside, it’s open plan but with separate areas for living, dining and the kitchen. There’s a woodburning stove for cooler evenings. It has a dishwasher and a washing machine. Parking is right outside.
Alford itself has shops and places to eat. The Grampian Transport Museum is in the village, it’s good for a wet afternoon. There’s a dry ski slope here too.
You’re well placed for getting out. Royal Deeside is on the doorstep for walks or cycling. There’s fishing locally if that’s your thing. The Lecht and Glenshee ski centres are within about a 30 minute drive for skiing in winter.
Further out, you can get to Balmoral Castle or Aberdeen in under an hour. The Cairngorms National Park is maybe 40 minutes by car for bigger walks.

The house is wheelchair accessible at the entrance. You can bring up to two dogs.
